'There could have been multiple murders', GMP say on BBC Crimewatch appeal after horror attack
A baby was in a crowd that was blasted at in a horror drive-by shooting in Moss Side, police have revealed in a fresh appeal on BBC's Crimewatch.
A shotgun was fired from a car outside a gathering on Quinney Crescent shortly before 10:30pm on July 29 last year. Two teenage girls - aged 13 and 16 - were left injured.
Multiple arrests have been made since the horrific incident but the gunman is yet to be convicted. In July, a year on from the shooting, police offered a £50,000 reward for information in the attempted murder probe.

Today, Detective Inspector Madeline Kelly appeared on BBC's Crimewatch Live to renew the appeal again. She revealed that a baby in a pram was in the crowd that was blasted at and said there could have 'easily been multiple murders'.
Explaining what happened, DI Kelly said: "So it was last year, it was Friday 29th July 2022. There was a family gathering at Quinney Crescent in the Moss Side area. This gathering was to commemorate somebody who had passed away the year before.
"All different age groups were there, they were congregating just outside the front of the address when shortly before 10.30pm in the evening, a car drove past and a shot was fired into the crowd indiscriminately and two girls were seriously injured, a 13 and a 16-year-old.
"The 16-year-old was taken from Quinney Crescent straight to hospital with serious injuries and the 13-year-old suffered injuries as a result of some of the shrapnel, so a really horrific attack."
She said the girls are suffering with 'emotional scars'. "I can only but imagine
