The young guns we could see in Swansea City's squad soon including ex-Celtic and Man City starlets

Swansea City are clearly bidding for a strong finish to their first season under Russell Martin, a campaign that has carried all the hallmarks of a transitional campaign.

The Swans are, barring a disastrous nosedive in form, probably safe from the drop, while the play-offs are looking just as unlikely.

There is still plenty of reason to keep the collective foot on the gas, mind, as this squad continues to try and fully get to grips with Martin's high-octane methods. There's also the small matter of a potentially historic south Wales derby double too.

But there's little doubt that the Swans are already glancing an eye towards the future.

Plans for the upcoming transfer market are already likely being drafted up, and there are also a number of potential homegrown stars that may well be hoping to put their hands up ahead of next term.

The next few weeks could present Martin with the ideal opportunity to blood in some of the club's most promising young talents.
