The stunning estate hidden in Greater Manchester that looks like a posh London neighbourhood
Nestled to the north of Manchester lies a stunning, sought-after estate which looks just like a posh London neighbourhood. Hidden in Whitefield just off Ringley Road, which is known as 'millionaire's row', is the prestigious Georgian-style development named The Square, which has become one of the town's most desirable locations.
Built in 1989 by bespoke developer PJ Livesey, the exclusive estate is made up of around 22 properties, with the majority being three-storey townhouses as well as a couple of lavish penthouses. The homes surround a beautifully maintained garden which boasts a central water fountain feature.
House prices in the area range between £650,000 and £750,000, which is much more than the Whitefield's average of £263,612 over the last year. But, according to local estate agents Normie & Co, houses 'rarely ever' come on the market here - because most of the residents don't ever want to leave.

Josh Gertler, director of the Whitefield estate agents, told the Manchester Evening News: "It’s an absolutely stunning development. It’s well-known, it's picture-perfect and the beautiful fountains and communal areas are so well maintained.
"A lot of the residents have been there forever and it’s also maintained by the homeowners themselves which is often seen as an advantage.
"It’s very rare that these homes come up for sale. The last transaction was in 2019 but we have just sold one off market and now have another on the market. This is very unusual, but if they are priced right they will sell quickly."
