The record-breaking afternoon that still holds special place in Hull FC's history books

Hull FC wasted no time setting records at their new home in 2003. The MKM Stadium had been open for a matter of months when hosted Sheffield Eagles in the fifth round of the Challenge Cup in 2003.

In fact, this was Hull’s second game at their new ground after making the move from the Boulevard to the newly-build 25,000-seater stadium. Graeme Horne bagged a brace, while Colin Best, Paul Cooke, Richard Horne, Toa Kohe-Love and Sean Ryan all found themselves on the score sheet. Crowther kicked 14 of his 15 conversions, which saw him equal the club’s goals in a match record, held by Jim Kennedy and Crowther’s
