The reason Man Utd will regret Scott McTominay exit as Napoli fan club for midfielder and Billy Gilmour grows

Former Scotland and AC Milan forward Joe Jordan was 'very surprised' to see Manchester United allow Scott McTominay to go Napoli, and believes the midfield star will show fans at Old Trafford fans just what they are missing out on.

The 27-year-old joined the Serie A side in a £25.7million deal last month and has quickly hit the ground running in Italy under Antonio Conte, opening his account for the club by coming off the bench to score in Thursday night's 5-1 win against Palermo in the Coppa Italia. And Jordan, who scored 20 goals in 66 matches for San Siro giants Milan between 1981 and 1983, reckons the Scot will continue the goalscoring exploits that saw him net 13 goals for club and country last season.
