The new pressure Celtic and Rangers must face as former Ibrox star sends 'wake up' warning to Gio van Bronckhorst's side

Kevin Thomson believes both Celtic and Rangers face renewed pressure after the title lead swapped, as he told his former side to "wake up".

The second derby clash of the season saw Ange Postecoglou 's side take a dominant 3-0 win to go top of the Premiership by a point.

Despite the emphatic win there are still 14 games remaining though, and Thomson knows first hand that both leading and chasing bring their own pressures.

But the former Rangers man knows the momentum is very much with their city rivals as he urged Gio van Bronckhorst's side to wake up and smell the title challenge.

Thomson said on Sky Sports News: "Sometimes when you create a wee gap you build momentum and the pressure really is on the team that's sitting second to not slip up.
