The nations Manchester United players are representing in this summer's Women's World Cup

The Women’s World Cup is less than a month away, the tournament kicks off on July 20 with hosts Australia taking on the Republic of Ireland and New Zealand facing Norway.

Among Manchester United’s roster are top-pedigree players, six of whom have been selected to represent their nations in the land down under next month.

While the USA are favourites for the competition, European Champions England will not fall far behind in the rankings. Germany arguably have a point to prove having lost out to England last summer in extra-time and I believe will come out, full force, to rectify second place in Europe, while a question mark lurks with Spain's international side after top-quality players are left at home amidst managerial woes.

Things are definitely hotting up for the spectacle of the year - the Women’s World Cup 2023 and here are some Reds you will find in the tournament.

Three Reds have been selected to represent England’s Lionesses as the squad attempt to clinch the World Cup title a year after lifting the European trophy.

Goalkeeper Mary Earps and midfielder Ella Toone were part of that European squad and kept their spot for Australia and New Zealand while Sarina Wiegman also added Katie Zelem in the mix for her first taste of a major international tournament.

Defending stalwart Maya Le Tissier is on the standby list and will travel with the squad to the other side of the world for final preparations, before leaving for the opening game vs Haiti on July 22 unless she is called into action to replace an existing member of the squad. Goalkeeper Emily Ramsey is also on the standby list but is not due to travel with the squad to Australia.
