The mug shot of the man who killed a pregnant mum-of-two in 123mph horror M66 crash

The mug shot of a boy racer who filmed himself speeding up to 123 mph before losing control and killing a pregnant mum-of-two on the M66 has been released after he was handed a prison sentence of 12 years.

Adil Iqbal, 22, of Hope Street in Accrington, was also issued a 13 year disqualification from driving after appearing at Manchester Crown Court earlier today (July 19).

Greater Manchester Police were called to reports of a serious collision between two vehicles travelling southbound on the M66 in Bury at around 3.10pm on Saturday, May 13. Witnesses reported a black BMW, being driven by Iqbal, ‘weaving in between vehicles’ as well as overtaking and undertaking other cars.

Iqbal began to lose control of his vehicle whilst driving at high speed and proceeded to spin round and collide with another car, which was stationary on the hard shoulder.

Inside the stationary vehicle was Frankie Jules-Hough, 38, her sons Rocky, two, and Tommy, aged nine, and nephew Tobias, aged four. Frankie, who was pregnant at the time, and the three children were all trapped inside the vehicle and left unconscious apart from Rocky, who was crying out for his mother.

Members of the public tried to free the family from the vehicle until emergency services arrived a short time later.

Frankie was taken to hospital with life threatening injuries and the three children were also taken to hospital, two of whom suffered serious injuries and one with minor injuries.

Sadly, Frankie, from Chadderton in Oldham, died in hospital a few days later on Monday, May 15, as a result of her injuries.

Iqbal was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing serious injury
