The most expensive street to live on in every UK region where houses sell for millions
The most expensive street to live on in every region of the UK has now been revealed by The Times. These desirable roads are home to some of the priciest properties across the country, with average house prices in the millions.
With the help of data analysts from Rightmove, The Times has found the highest-priced streets based on homes that are currently up for grabs on its site.
To be considered as the most expensive, the street must have at least five properties advertised for sale to exclude areas that are inactive in the property market, or may not have many residential properties.
Unsurprisingly, by price alone, London sweeps the national list claiming 18 out of the top 20 most expensive streets. On its priciest road, houses sell for a whopping £11.9 million on average.
Here is The Times' full list of the most expensive streets in each individual UK region, along with the average house price:
Winnington Road, which lies in the Hampstead and East Finchley areas of north London, is the most expensive street to live on in London - and the UK as a whole - with an average house price of £11.9 million.
The affluent street is made up of swanky properties mostly owned by families who live there permanently. An eight-bed mansion which boasts a swimming pool, spa with a steam room and a gym is currently up for grabs with estate agents Sotheby's for £24.95 million.
"Winnington Road’s position at the top of the list is a reflection both of the unique attributes of this posh north London boulevard - which sits on the edge of Hampstead village, Hampstead Garden Suburb and East Finchley, but not truly in any of them - and the moribund market last year in the “traditional” super-rich hotspots of Belgravia and Knightsbridge,
