The most expensive postcodes in Greater Manchester where house prices are sky-high
House prices are generally becoming cheaper across Greater Manchester as the property market is showing signs of cooling down. But defying this downwards trend, there are certain parts of the region where house prices are still sky-high.
Using the latest data from the Land Registry data, the Manchester Evening News has looked at the postcodes with the highest average house price, to find the most expensive places to live. The majority of these postcodes are in Trafford and Stockport, which is where the region's richest residents tend to live.
Below are the 10 postcode areas Greater Manchester where property prices are much higher than the average, as well as the percentage they have risen or fallen by over the last year.

The priciest postcode in the region is WA15, which covers the areas of Altrincham, Hale, Hale Barns and Timperley. The average house price here is a whopping £604,920, which has actually gone down by two percent in the last year.
The second most expensive postcode is WA14 which includes also includes areas of Altrincham and Timperley, as well as Bowdon, Broadheath, Dunham Town and Dunham Massey. The average cost of a property here is currently £559,050, which has fallen by three percent in the last 12 months.
SK7, which covers the Stockport areas of Bramhall, Hazel Grove and Woodford, is the third most expensive postcode to buy a property. The average house price here is now £435,860, which has gone up by one percent in the last year.
