The Manchester restaurants shortlisted for the Uber Eats Restaurant of the Year
Uber Eats has revealed the shortlist for its Restaurant of the Year award - and four Manchester takeout favourites have made the cut.
The online food ordering and delivery platform picked out nine top restaurants in each region across the UK and Ireland, with Manchester restaurants taking the lead in the North West.
Those shortlisted are Burger & Co, Mughli Charcoal Pit, Salt & Pepper and Three Brothers, sitting alongside 90 restaurants across 35 towns and cities. However, only one restaurant can be named as the finalist for the region and Manchester locals can now vote on their favourite takeaway.

The winner will compete against other regions for the crowning title at a judging day in London, in front of a panel featuring Bake Off’s Prue Leith and chef Monica Galetti. On top of the title, the restaurant will have the chance to win a prize of £100,000 to invest in their business, and a selection of prizes worth around £200,000.
The shortlist includes Mughli Charcoal Pit on Wilmslow Road - the Curry Mile staple with Indian and Pakistani street food, and is centred around the “angithi”, a type of South Asian grill.
Recently named as 'One of Manchester's Best Restaurants' by the Telegraph, BBC Good Food Guide and Shortlist Magazine, the restaurant also offers a house-infused gin & tonic and street-food themed décor.
Burger & Co in Fallowfield has also been voted an Uber Eats top-pick. The self-described home of the “real king of burgers” boasts an extensive menu of ‘best quality’ meat patties, as well as vegan options and loaded fries.
Another top choice is street-food specialists Salt & Pepper, best-known for its
