The last words she said before leaving for Creamfields festival and never coming home

A mum whose daughter died on her way to the Creamfields festival said there is too much anger in the world and wishes more people lived their lives the way she had done. She also shared her daughter's last words to her before her death.

Dominique Williams, a dance and performing arts student, was on the way to the music festival in Daresbury, Cheshire, when she died in a horror crash on Higher Road in Halewood on August 29, 2009 aged just 20.

Ahead of the fifteenth anniversary of her daughter's death, mum Lesley, 60, said: "It's a funny one because so much has changed over 15 years. The world feels a completely different place, but at the same time, it feels like only minutes ago I was hearing Dom's laugh. She had such a cackle.

"People now are so quick to hate. The world is so full of it. It's the complete opposite to what Dom was like. She lived by her beliefs and all she wanted to do was help people. She never took herself too seriously but had clear dreams. She never judged anyone which meant she had so many friends.

"Her motto was 'life is too short' - that was how she judged things. She took every opportunity that she was offered. She was so full of life. I am so proud to be her mum. I wish she was still here - the world would be a much better place if she was."

Dominique, who had dreams to open her own dance school and continue to travel the world, couldn't wait for Creamfields, reports The Echo. Lesley said: "She loved festivals and was so excited to go." She was travelling to the festival with three other friends, including Newcastle teenager Nicola Edgar, 19.
