The 19 Manchester United players who could feature at the World Cup 2022

Manchester United stars will be well represented at the Qatar World Cup this November after more of their players booked their place in the competition this month.

England booked their place in the tournament after a 10-0 rout over San Marino in November. Meanwhile, Bruno Fernandes inspired Portugal to the finals following their win against North Macedonia.

The likes of Harry Maguire, Cristiano Ronaldo and Fred will learn their fate for who they will be preparing for this winter, while notable absentees include Victor Lindelof, Eric Bailly and Anthony Elanga. MEN Sport runs through the players who could be at the tournament later this year:

Despite their omissions from the most recent camp, Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford will be hoping to play their ways back in favour. Jesse Lingard, who is out of contract in the summer, had a decent stint following the Three Lions' European Championships campaign but fell down the pecking order after lack of minutes at United of late.

Maguire and Luke Shaw remain firmly cemented in Gareth Southgate's plans despite their similar bad runs of form at club level. It is a different story at international level with the United pair playing important roles in the defensive contributions, the United skipper scored two in two in the final group matches with the full-back finding the back of the net against Switzerland this month.

Fred was a key member of Tite's squad as they broke the record for most points in qualifying. Their 14 wins and three draws saw them romp to 45 points, conceding just five goals en route to booking their place in the finals. Alex Telles will also hope for a call-up.
