The ‘excellent’ move that just paid off for Swansea City as fresh option emerges for Peterborough United trip

Matt Gill believes Kyle Joseph and Nathanael Ogbeta will hugely benefit from their outings with Swansea City's Under-23s on Monday.

Ogbeta played the opening half of the 5-1 triumph over Queens Park Rangers' young guns at the Swansea.com Stadium while Joseph netted four goals in south Wales before being withdrawn.

Both are set to be included in the matchday squad to face Peterborough United in the Championship on Wednesday night while Cameron Congreve will also hope to be in the travelling party having made his senior bow at Blackpool.

And Swansea's technical development coach Gill believes the run-out for Kris O'Leary's side will do both Ogbeta and Joseph the world of good.

"Nat coming back from injury needed some game-time. Kyle has made an impact off the bench but it turned out to be excellent for him today.

"Starting a game for the under-23s and getting loads of opportunities in front of goal was great for him, so it’s probably worked out really well.

"A few boys trained and a few played. They’ll all be ready for Wednesday if needed."

"Hannes is back with the group today," said Gill.

"We’re keeping an eye on him. We’ll see how he feels after training today. He’s a fit boy. Hopefully we’ll have him involved in the squad."
