The Championship: TG4 All-Ireland Senior final preview - Gaelic football evolving?

Ahead of the TG4 All-Ireland Ladies SFC finals at Croke Park, former Mayo star Yvonne Byrne casts an eye over the three deciders and believes the best two teams - Kerry and Dublin - are in the senior decider.

Byrne, a four-time All-Ireland winner referenced Kerry "playing in patches" in their respective quarter-final and semi-final victories, while adding that the Dubs seem "to be coming good at the right time".

Former Fermanagh and Sligo manager Dom Corrigan applauds the Ladies Association for the work they have done in promoting their games, another element in how women's sport as a whole is now thriving, he feels.

This past inter-county has seen much talk about the state of Gaelic football, with Corrigan offering a more upbeat assessment on a previous view that "good forwards are being turned into poor defenders".
