The British Open 2022: Cameron Smith wins the Open following an extraordinary round

The Open champion has never shot lower in the final round than Smith, who also broke Tiger Woods’ 2000 St. Andrews record with a 20-under total. ESPN claims that Smith is the only golfer to have birdied the opening five holes on the back nine during the final round of a major in the previous 20 years.
