The best team goal ever? Kyoto Sanga's masterpiece vs Kashiwa Reysol

Japanese top-tier side Kyoto Sanga have scored one of the greatest team goals we’ve ever seen.

During their recent J1 League encounter away at Kashiwa Reysol in which they won 2-0, the newly-promoted outfit took ‘beating the press’ to a whole new level.

In the 13th minute of the game, Kyoto Sanga decided to play the riskiest football imaginable in order to thwart the home team’s attempts to win back possession high up the pitch.

Goalkeeper Naoto Kamifukumoto went full Ederson by his goal-line, while the defenders played heart-stopping passess across the penalty area with the opposition in very close proximity.

But it paid off for Kyoto Sanga, as they were able to swat away Kashiwa Reysol’s plan to nick the ball off of them.

The visitors charged down the line, played a few cute passes on the edge of the box and then gave the ball to left-back Takuya Ogiwara, who finished the chance in a manner befitting of a top-class striker.

It really was a masterpiece by Kyoto Sanga, one worthy of the current Manchester City side or prime Barcelona.
