The babies born in Greater Manchester on Christmas Day

Two families were excited to share with us images of their very special gifts this Christmas. This babe might just be the first to be born in Greater Manchester after she arrived at 12:06am in the maternity ward of the Saint Mary's Hospital Oxford Road campus.

While the family would like to keep her name a secret, they were more than happy to send us pictures of their adorable new born who was tightly wrapped in a blanket and wearing Christmas red woolly hat.

She weighed 3184g and was shown off by the hardworking staff at the hospital next to her beaming mum.

At 4:25am, Wythenshawe Hospital staff delivered the beautiful Violet Andie. She melted hearts at the hospital as she lay peacefully in her Rudolph the Reindeer onesie and red and white Christmas hat.
