The Ange Postecoglou interview making Celtic for Tottenham a near certainty as Juranovic advice proves telling

He's told players to make the most of the 'limited' time they have - and that mantra looks likely to ring true as Ange Postecoglou approaches the Celtic exit door.

The Parkhead boss is the man Tottenham want to succeed Antonio Conte and out of respect for the Premiership champions, have not hit pedal to the metal in their approach until after Saturday's Scottish Cup final against Inverness CT is done. But the news of a managerial change has overshadowed the pre-game build-up and now an interview has resurfaced from the January transfer window.

As popular right-back Josip Juranovic left Glasgow for Union Berlin, 18 months on from joining from Legia Warsaw, the Australian admitted that everyone in the game has to maximise what opportunities they are. When asked about how Juranovic should be viewed as a Celtic player, Postecoglou responded: "With all the lads, I am constantly in dialogue with them about themselves and their careers and people need to appreciate that Josip is 28. But he hasn't really got to the highest level until late in his career and I think he just wants to maximise his opportunities.

"To be honest, I agree with him. That is what all of us have in our careers is limited time and we want to take opportunities.

"I think he leaves a fantastic player who contributes to a really important season. I hope he goes over and kills it, he is very well liked and will be missed, t's the nature of football."

It's got some fans fearing the worst, one 'greetin now' and another admitted 'If Spurs genuinely do want him, he is gone unfortunately.'
