The £69 Vax vacuum that's 'more powerful' than a Dyson reduced in Amazon's Spring Sale

When it comes to vacuum cleaners, however, the market can be a minefield - especially if you don't want to spend too much. Thankfully, there is a way to get a powerful vacuum for less, and shoppers are loving this deal on a Vax which is said to rival Dyson.
Amazon has a deal on the Vax Mach Air Upright Vacuum Cleaner; High performance, Multi-cyclonic, with No Loss of Suction; Lightweight - UCA1GEV1, 1.5 Litre, 820W, Purple. The 4.3 starred gadget is on sale for £69, down from £89.99 - that’s a saving of 23% (all prices correct at time of writing).

This bit of kit comes with washable filters, so it’s easy to keep in tip top condition. It’s lightweight, coming in under 5kg, so not too difficult to store or take upstairs, and it’s effective on carpet as well as hard floors. Plus, shoppers are saying it’s got more suction than a Dyson.
For a classic alternative, there’s the Henry Xtra Corded Bagged Cylinder Vacuum Cleaner, available at Argos for £130. It’s heavier and bulkier than the Vax, but includes an attachment for thoroughly cleaning mattresses and sofas. Still tempted by a Dyson? The DYSON V8 Absolute Cordless Vacuum Cleaner - Silver Yellow is currently £249, down from £399.99 at Currys. Much pricier, it’s cordless so there’s good manoeuvrability, but battery life can limit the number of rooms hoovered in one go.
