Southern Counties East League round-up: Faversham Town four points from the title, Lydd out of relegation zone, Division 1 leaders Forest Hill lose

Faversham Town need four more points to win the Southern Counties East Premier Division title.

Tommy Warrilow’s men won 3-1 at Kennington on Saturday and are now six points clear after nearest rivals VCD lost at Lydd.

Faversham went ahead through Kieron Campbell’s second-minute goal but Euan Biggleston soon equalised for Ton.

Johan Caney-Bryan restored the lead in stoppage time and Sam Hasler netted early in the second half to wrap up the points.

Lydd climbed out of the relegation zone after winning 1-0 at home to VCD, Ryan Smith scoring the winner early in the second half.

Bottom side Lordswood gave themselves hopes of avoiding the drop after winning 2-1 at home to Glebe.

Scott Porter got his first win as manager to leave Lords six points from safety with five games to play.

Tunde Aderonmu put Lords ahead after five minutes and George Miles added a second midway through the first half, Glebe replying with 20 minutes left.
