The 40 footballers with the most goals and assists in the Premier League in the 21st century
Which players have racked up the most goal contributions in the Premier League in the 21st century?
We all know the usual go-to Premier League statistics. Top goalscorer? Alan Shearer. Most assists? Ryan Giggs. Most appearances? Well, then you’re looking at Gareth Barry.
But it’s certainly a more unique take to consider the most goals and assists combined, isn’t that an even more impressive record to hold after all?
Fortunately, PopFoot have continued their off-season scour through the record books and have come up with this interesting list to share with their Twitter followers.
So, as mentioned, the time bracket considered is from 2000 onwards which will hamper players like Shearer who spent much of their career tearing up the Premier League in the 90’s.
One would expect the ‘Golden Generation’ of England players to fit the bill perfectly given they burst onto the scene in the early noughties – therefore keep your eye out for Wayne Rooney, Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard.
And of course, no Premier League ranking would be fit for duty if Thierry Henry wasn’t featuring front and centre and, in this case, we expect him to be right up there again.
Without further ado, let’s jump in.
