There are at least three reasons for Arsenal supporters and Mikel Arteta to be excited about Friday's friendly against FC Nurnberg.

After a 5-1 win over Ipswich Town in a behind-closed-doors match at the club's London Colney base last weekend, things have been taken up a notch this week with the Gunners manager flying out his squad to the Adidas HQ in Nuremberg for a pre-season training camp.

As explained by Arteta, the whole point of this trip is for his squad to access the world-class facilities on offer at the campus and to see where the Arsenal players are at in terms of fitness and match sharpness ahead of the big Premier League season opener against Crystal Palace in just under a month.
