The 2 players still at Man United that Jose Mourinho wanted to sell and why the deals didn't happen

Jose Mourinho wanted Manchester United to sell Anthony Martial and Luke Shaw in the summer of 2018.

In an interview with the Daily Telegraph, Mourinho said: "There are still a couple of players still there I didn’t want five or six years ago." It is understood the players are Martial and Shaw.

Rose briefly played under Mourinho at Spurs, where a terse meeting with the Portuguese regarding his future was filmed for the All Or Nothing documentary series.

Mourinho and Shaw had a fraught relationship that dated back to when Mourinho met the left back as a teenager at Southampton. Mourinho was the Chelsea manager at the time and criticised Shaw's salary demands after he joined
