The 16th century cottage you can book on Airbnb for May Bank Holiday

With the first May bank holiday fast-approaching your mind might be turning to a relaxing getaway to make the most of the long weekend. Luckily there are still places with last minute availability, including a gorgeous 16th century farm cottage which is only 90 minutes’ drive from Greater Manchester.

The 16th-century cottage is brimming with character; there’s gorgeous wooden beams throughout, a cosy wood-burning stove in the living room and rustic farmhouse-style kitchen with a huge table you can get all the family around. As it’s Grade-II listed, it really feels as if you’re stepping back in time. Yet it has all the mod-cons you’d expect from Airbnb, with a fully-equipped kitchen and a barbecue grill outside.

There’s a large family bathroom with a big bath, perfect for a relaxing soak. In addition to this there’s a downstairs wet room, so no disputes over waiting for the bathroom.

The impressive farmhouse kitchen has a big range cooker, a fridge freezer and a large island to prepare meals on. There’s a separate dining area connected to the kitchen with a large table, ideal for family breakfasts and
