TG4 All-Ireland Senior Championship: All you need to know

There are four TG4 All-Ireland Senior Championship encounters up for decision this weekend as the senior series gets under way.

Reigning champions Dublin look the team to beat, with Mayo the visitors to Parnell Park on Sunday afternoon.

WEATHER

Saturday will see sunny spells and scattered showers at first. It will be dry by late morning with good spells of sunshine developing with any showers limited to northern fringes. Highs of 13-19C will prevail, with a moderate northwesterly wind.

Sunday will be cloudy with patchy rain and drizzle extending from the west across from but remaining mostly dry in the south and southeast. Cooler on Sunday with highs of 11-14C.

Armagh’s gripping Ulster final victory over Donegal came at a real cost as the Orchard County lost star forward Aimee Mackin to a season-ending knee ligament injury.

How manager Greg McGonigle copes without Mackin will be interesting to note, but her absence is a severe dent to the county’s All-Ireland hopes.

The reigning Division 1 champions are also without Louise Kenny, who also went off injured in the provincial final win.

McGonigle brings in Sarah Quigley and Niamh Reel to replace Kenny and Mackin, as he makes two changes in personnel to his starting line-up.
