It's been a year of high-drama in Scottish football and there's even been some German flavour ahead of three dates with destiny.

Steve Clarke's men started 2023 as outsiders in their Euro 2024 qualification group but ended the summer with a place at the major tournament firmly in their hands. Now they kick the tournament off with the hosts in Munich next June after booking their place in the autumn, with tussles against Hungary and Switzerland on the horizon.

Managers have chopped and change right across the divisions. Ange Postecoglou's glittering Parkhead era ended in June after waving goodbye in favour of a crack at Tottenham Hotspur, following on from Treble glory. The Hoops reacted by bringing in a man who knows what it takes to win Parkhead silverware in Brendan Rodgers and his battles with Rangers counterpart Michael Beale only last until September when the Londoner received his marching orders.

Philippe Clement has steadied the ship since and has delivered the Viaplay Cup to Ibrox. That win over Aberdeen has left boss Barry Robson wincing and he has had plenty of pressure on him this term, as has Hearts gaffer Steven Naismith.

Partick Thistle and Ross County traded blows in one of the most epic Premiership play-off finals in recent memory. And we've had our fair share of patter along the way, from Duncan Ferguson singing Christmas tunes and someone lobbing a pie onto the park in anger during Dunfermline's win at Morton.
