Terence Crawford reacts to Errol Spence Jr's win over Yordenis Ugas

Errol Spence Jr vs Terence Crawford would have been a mouthwatering prospect on Saturday morning. Come Sunday, it’s now a four-belt unification – the stakes couldn’t be higher.

Saturday night’s TKO victory saw Spence add Yordenis Ugas’ WBA belt to his WBC and IBF titles, and the 32-year-old wasted no time in calling Crawford out post-fight.

“Everybody knows who I want next. I want Terence Crawford next,” Spence stated. “That’s the fight that I want, that’s the fight everybody wants. I’m going to go over there and take his s*** too. Terence, I’m coming for that motherf***ing belt.”

With Crawford currently holding the WBO belt, a match-up would determine the undisputed champion of the world.

The 34-year-old took to Twitter shortly after Saturday’s contest to congratulate Spence, but was quick to remind his rival that there was no love lost between the two.

“Congratulations great fight now the real fight happens. No more talk no more side of the street let’s go!!!!” he directed the Desoto native. “Keep my belts warm I’ll be coming to grab em later this year.”

Spence and Crawford have dominated the welterweight division for a decade and the sport has yearned for a face-off between the two megastars.

Fans have been deprived of this showdown largely due to the pair’s relationships with conflicting management groups. Spence and Crawford have long been affiliated with Premier Boxing Champions and Top Rank Boxing respectively.

However, the stage seems to be cleared for a potential fight after Crawford confirmed he had left Top Rank in November 2021.

Many suspect this match-up might not only be a contest for the division’s best, but for the best pound for pound fighter that boxing has to offer.

Both Spence and Crawford seem keen
