With so many years of fascinating history and pivotal events, Manchester has all sorts of secrets and no one can know them all. With that in mind, we want to hear your gems.
The first recorded history of the city was a civilian settlement that sat with a Roman fort known as Mamucian, the remains of which can be found in Castlefield, before eventually evolving into the city we know and love today.
Lots of people were taught that at school but we want to hear from our readers about things that other people might not know.
