Tekken 8: Everything We Know So Far

Tekken 8 is could finally be on the way after all these years the excitement is starting to build for its arrival in the coming months.

The hugely successful beat ’em up franchise has a star-studded history in the gaming industry that goes right back to the late 1990s and into the early 2000s

Unsurprisingly, this has attracted a rather seismic fanbase who have been curious for some time whether Bandai Namco Studios, the game’s developers, will bring out the eighth instalment to the series.

Thanks to a leak from Nvidia, this looks like it is the case! While information is limited at this stage, scroll down to find out everything we know so far regarding Tekken 8:

UPDATE 5th May 2022: With the announcement of Kingdom Hearts 4, it’s looking EVEN MORE likely that we will hear about Tekken 8 at some point.

Kingdom Hearts 4 was part of the infamous NVIDIA leak, and now a number of games have been officially announced that appeared on that leak list, including Street Fighter 6 and Chrono Cross.

UPDATE 13th January 2022: Tekken Pros have given their opinion on what the game should include.

Hoa ‘Anakin’ Luu stated in an interview with Red Bull: “I don’t mind either if Tekken 8 launched sooner with less content, or appear later with a more robust launch offering. But it seems like launching as soon as possible, and then adding content, worked great for Tekken 7.”

Kana ‘Tanukana’ Tani said: “If the game is released with insufficient content, I think some people will give up on it early on and quit playing fighting games altogether. Since we currently have a Season system, if Tekken 8 is to be released, we would like to play it with substantial content.”
