Teenagers deny murdering Kyle Hackland as trial date set

Four teenagers have denied murder following the fatal stabbing of Kyle Hackland in south Manchester.

Kyle, 17, died in hospital from his injuries after being injured on Southlea Road in Withington on November 22 last year.

Yousif Sesay, 18, Lewis Ludford, 18, and two 16-year-old boys, who cannot be named for legal reasons, are all charged with an offence of murder and an alternate offence of manslaughter.

Appearing at Manchester Crown Court today (February 17), they each entered not guilty pleas to both offences.

A trial date has been set for May 15 this year.

Mr Sesay, of Denton Road, Audenshaw; Mr Ludford, of no fixed address, and the two teenage boys have been remanded into custody until the next hearing.
