Teenager injured after getting stuck between two vehicles following police chase

Police are appealing after a police chase ended with a teenager getting trapped between two vans. Officers began a pursuit of a Toyota HiAce in Dukinfield, Tameside, that was suspected to have been involved in a number of theft offences at around 11.30pm on Friday (September 2)

The vehicle was chased to Wheeler Street, Openshaw, where around 10 minutes later the driver and the teenage passenger left the van. The driver was able to flee the scene but in trying to get out the teenager became trapped between their vehicle and another parked van.

The road was cordoned off while the teenager was treated by ambulance staff and further investigations were carried out. Residents reported that the young man became stuck when the van he had exited rolled and trapped him against a parked van.
