Tearful Bartlett proclaims 'hard work paid off' as resilient CT Spurs triumphantly ascend to PSL
Cape Town Spurs head coach Shaun Bartlett believes that his team has rightfully earned their place in the prestigious DStv Premiership following their triumphant promotion.

Ultimately, the match ended in a goalless stalemate, sealing the fate of the two teams: Spurs would soar to the top flight, while Maritzburg would descend to the Motsepe Foundation Championship.

Nonetheless, a relieved Bartlett expressed his satisfaction in an interview with SuperSport TV after the game.
"The disappointment has dissipated as we have achieved promotion. Although it may have been the most arduous route, it is undeniably the most gratifying path to securing our promotion," said Bartlett.
Bartlett went on to emphasize that his team had been operating at a level befitting the DStv Premiership throughout their journey. He highlighted the significance of this accomplishment for the entire club and its players.
"We have been toiling in this division for five long years, and we deserve our place in the DStv Premiership,” he continued.
