Tao Geoghegan Hart says he is 'devastated' after crashing out of the Giro d'Italia on Stage 11

Tao Geoghegan Hart has admitted to being “devastated” after crashing out of the Giro d’Italia. He left Stage 11 in an ambulance following a collision which saw numerous riders fall, including his Ineos Grenadiers team-mate Geraint Thomas in the leader’s pink jersey, and Primoz Roglic (Jumbo-Visma). It was a photo finish to confirm the winner at the end of the gruelling 219km stage to Tortona. Stage 12 sees racers take on a 179km parcours from Bra to Rivoli on Thursday. It features two categorised climbs and could see a breakaway take the day.
