Tammy Abraham ‘satisfied’ at Roma but makes enticing transfer claim as Arsenal monitor star
Roma striker Tammy Abraham says he is ‘happy’ at the Italian club, although he has also made an enticing claim about his future.
The Englishman left Chelsea in August and has gone on to have a fantastic campaign under Jose Mourinho at Roma. He bagged 17 goals in 37 Serie A matches, helping the Giallorossi finish sixth in the table.
Abraham also found the net nine times in 13 Europa Conference League games as Roma won the inaugural competition.
They beat Feyenoord 1-0 in the final thanks to a first-half goal from Italian winger Nicolo Zaniolo.
While Abraham didn’t get on the scoresheet in the final, his goals have been crucial to Roma finding success in Mourinho’s first season in charge.
They bought him for £34million last summer, while Chelsea reportedly have a £68m buy-back clause which activates in 2023.
Arsenal are supposedly keeping tabs on his situation as they look to revamp their centre-forward options.
Other targets include Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Ollie Watkins and Victor Osimhen.
