'Takes after his dad' - Man United fans all make same Charlie Savage point after crunching FA Cup tackle

Charlie Savage has been likened to his father Robbie, after the former Man Utd midfielder lunged into a challenge that warranted a yellow card during Reading's FA Cup clash with Eastleigh this afternoon.

Trailing by a goal after protests had halted the play at Silverlake Stadium, the former United man flew into a heavy tackle alongside Eastleigh's Chris Maguire, warranting referee Lewis Smith to brandish an early caution.

Attracting quite a stir on social media, fans were quick to liken his bold challenge to those once seen by his father Robbie during his playing days, who of course also began his career at Old Trafford, despite failing to make a professional appearance for the club during his three-year association.
