Tahith Chong has taken to social media to clarify the situation following reports of a knifepoint robbery at his home over the weekend.
A report in the Sun claimed that the Manchester United youngster was "robbed at knifepoint" after "masked raiders" broke into his home at 3am. The robbers are said to have stolen thousands of pounds worth of possessions - including jewellery, watches and designers bags - and "held a blade" to Chong's throat. They are also alleged to have mocked the Dutch winger over his lack of security.
On Sunday, Chong posted on social media offering clarity on the reports and says that while he was the subject of a break-in, it happened months ago and that he is "doing fine".
The winger, who is on loan at Championship club Birmingham City, wrote: "Good morning to everyone. Yesterday there was a report that came out as terrifying as the article may sound, I am doing fine and this was a few months back, so not as some reported last night. Thankyou for all the messages and happy Mother's
