Table tennis ace Baldwin ready for another taste of senior action
Okehampton table tennis ace Mari Baldwin is eager for another taste of elite-level action following a successful senior debut. The 19-year-old is still technically a junior player but was called up to represent England at senior level for the first time earlier this year at the European Team Championship Qualifications in Croatia. Ad It was a successful campaign for Baldwin and the rest of the team, who qualified for the Sweden showpiece this September, and competing there is now one of her main targets for the rest of 2023.

It's a bigger event and I think it was easy to get swept up in the idea that it was a big event, but it was nice to be able to do it with a team around and other people. «It was also the first time doing it for my friend Jasmine [Wong], so it was nice to have someone I know really well also there. »Before the Team Championships in September, there's the European Youth Championships in July and selections for that are going to be decided soon.
