Portsmouth are weighing up a potential move for Swansea forward Morgan Whittaker.

The attacker spent the second half of the 2021/22 season on loan at Lincoln City, scoring five times in 20 appearances for The Imps. It's understood the Swans are wiling to offload both Whittaker and Joseph in a bid to free up funds to pursue transfer targets this summer.

Whittaker featured nine times for the Swans in the opening half of the season, although his only starts came in the Carabao Cup. Reports from the south coast of England claim Portsmouth would only consider permanent moves for Joseph and Whittaker.

Michael Obafemi believes he is only at the beginning of his upturn at Swansea following a tough start to life at the club.

The striker endured a difficult first half of the season after joining from Southampton last summer. He scored just one goal in his first 14 appearances for the Swans and was dropped from the matchday squad altogether at Bournemouth in November.

However, he excelled in 2022, scoring 11 times in his final 19 outings of the campaign. And the 21-year-old is confident that a full pre-season this summer will bolster his chances of improving even further next term.
