Swansea City 1-3 Leicester City: Hosts see winning run ended by classy league leaders

Swansea City's winning run was brought to an abrupt end by Championship leaders Leicester City at the Swansea.com Stadium.

After a bright start, Swans skipper Matt Grimes fired the hosts in front with his third goal of the season, only for Jannik Vestergaard to restore parity just before the break.

Liam Cullen rattled the bar on the stroke of half-time, but Leicester weren't to be denied a well deserved win, as Abdul Fatawu fired home just after the hour.

The visitors sealed then sealed the points three minutes from time as substitute Kelechi Iheanacho popped up to slot home following an impressive sweeping counter.

Michael Duff had backed the visitors as potential title winners earlier in the week, and Leicester did very little to dispel that assessment in the south Wales sunshine, producing an impressive performance to rack up their 11th win from 12 Championship games.

It would subsequently be harsh to read too much into this performance, as disappointing as it may have been for the Jack Army, although many might well have seen this clash as a free hit.
