Swansea City 1-1 Bristol City: Swans denied third straight league win in entertaining contest

Swansea City were denied a third-straight Championship win after they were held by Bristol City in an enthralling encounter at the Swansea.com Stadium.

Ben Cabango tapped home his first goal of the season to hand the hosts the lead on 15 minutes, before Sinclair Armstrong poked an effort onto the post at the other end.

Ollie Cooper nearly provided the Swans with a fortuitous second after charging down Zak Vyner's clearance 40 yards out, while Goncalo Franco was also denied by a terrific save from Max O'Leary before the interval.

Anis Mehmeti saw a header deflected into the arms of Lawrence Vigouroux, while Max Bird curled an effort wide following a corner moments later. Vigouroux then kept the visitors at bay again with a brilliant save to keep out Twine's close-range volley.

But after surviving that opening flurry of pressure, Swansea composed themselves and dragged the momentum of the contest into their favour.
