Susanna Reid addresses Good Morning Britain backlash as she's sent to Germany after saying 'goodbye'

Susanna Reid seemingly addressed Good Morning Britain viewers' complaints after she was seen in Germany just days after wrapping up her time on the show for the summer.

The presenter was seen at the helm of the ITV news programme on Wednesday (July 10) alongside Ed Balls when she finished the show by saying her goodbyes to viewers.

As the mid-week episode of the show came to a close, the broadcaster said: "I'm going to say goodbye because it's now time for me to go off on a break... You never know, I might pop up in the meantime. But otherwise, I'll see you back in September."

She went on to reassure a concerned that he was in the "capable hands" of the GMB team, including Charlotte Hawkins who was in the studio bringing viewers the latest news updates. "Do you have to? Can't you stay a bit?"
