Surprise Manchester United player named as Premier League's best passer in 2022/23 season

Manchester United defender Victor Lindelof was the most accurate passer in this season's Premier League.

Lindelof scored an impressive pass completion percentage of 93.1 per cent in his matches played. This equated to 866 completed passes out of 930 attempted, according to FBREF.com.

Manuel Akanji and John Stones finished just behind the Swede on 93 per cent while City's Ruben Dias and Rodri rounded out the top five on 92.7 per cent and 91.2 per cent respectively. United's next qualifying pass completer was Lisandro Martinez who found himself down in 29th with a pass completion percentage of 87 per cent.

To qualify for the final list, a player must have played on average at least 30 minutes per game their team played in the competition.

In his 20 Premier League appearances this season, Lindelof has proven he can adapt to this style which Ten Hag is wanting to implement but it will be interesting to see if he is trusted moving forward by the Dutchman.
