Supercomputer recalculates Celtic and Rangers title prediction with 'Helicopter' thrill ride incoming

League leaders Celtic are tipped to pip Rangers in a thrilling race to the Scottish Premiership finish - according to FiveThirtyEight's Supercomputer.

Nate Silver's stats website had the Ibrox side as favourites but the red-hot form in Glasgow's east end has turned the tables.

And Ange Postecoglou 's side are now 61 per cent shots to regain the title one season after finishing 25 points behind their biggest rivals.

The swing in momentum comes after the Hoops trounced the Premiership champions 3-0 and leapfroged their fiercest foes in the process.

But drama is predicted with Celtic are being forecasted to finish with 89 points, two more than Rangers on 87 with 12 games remaining for both.

It's been 11 years since a title race would go all the way to the final day, but the SPFL's helicopter looks set for a return to action as the season nears a thrilling climax.
