Supercomputer predicts Manchester United's final Premier League position and it's grim

Manchester United are predicted to achieve their worst Premier League finish of all time according to the latest supercomputer algorithm.

The technology from Bettingexpert's supercomputer, BETSiE, has forecasted a ninth-placed finish for United, which would beat their worst finish of seventh under David Moyes and latterly Ryan Giggs in the 2013/2014 season. Erik ten Hag’s squad have had an inconsistent start to the new season but are coming off the back of a league win at the weekend against Fulham. But the recent victory has done little to improve their expected finish, according to the supercomputer.

Manchester City are down to win the title with Arsenal set to finish in second. Liverpool are down to finish third.

Newcastle United, Aston Villa and Brighton would also finish above United if the final standings ended up being correct. Newcastle are predicted to secure fourth position again, with Tottenham Hotspur expected to slip back into fifth, with Villa in sixth and the Seagulls managing to finish eighth.

Burnley, Luton Town and Sheffield United are expected to be relegated to the Championship. It would see all three promoted teams return to the second tier straight after promotion to the Premier League.
