Sunday sport: Ireland's Nick Griggs wins silver at European Cross Country Championships

Nick Griggs won silver at the under-23 European Cross Country Championships in Turkey this morning.

The Tyrone man finished behind defending champion Will Barnicote and ahead of another British runner David Stone.

It sees Griggs add to his gold and silver under-20 European medals.

Arsenal have the chance to narrow the gap on Liverpool at the top of the Premier League table later.

The Gunners are away to Fulham and start the day third, level on points with Chelsea and seven behind Liverpool.

Elsewhere, Ruud van Nistelrooy is looking for his second win as Leicester City boss as his side welcome Brighton to the King Power Stadium.

Meanwhile, Bournemouth make the trip to Ipswich Town.

All of those games kick-off at 2pm.

The main game of the day then sees London rivals Tottenham and Chelsea face off.

Action at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium gets underway at 4.30pm.

Leinster will look to open their Champions Cup campaign with a victory away to Bristol Bears this evening.

All Black Jordie Barrett is set to make his first appearance for the Blues off the bench.

Two senior provincial club finals are down for decision this afternoon.

Dr Crokes are looking for a ninth Munster senior football crown as they take on Loughmore Castleiney of Tipperary in Mallow from 1.30pm.

Following that, Down's Kilcoo come up against Errigal Ciarán of Tyrone in the Ulster senior football decider.

That one throws in at the Athletic Grounds from 3.30pm.

Meanwhile it's Kilkenny versus Wexford in the final of the Leinster junior hurling championship.
