Sunday sport: All-Ireland club championships to come to a close today
It is a busy Sunday of sport this week.
The All-Ireland club championships will officially come to a close today at Croke Park.
Ballinderry of Derry and Crossmolina Deel Rovers of Mayo will do battle at 1:30pm at Croke Park to determine the winner of the All-Ireland Intermediate Football Championship.
Just a half an hour later, last year's All-Ireland quarter-finalists Roscommon get their Division Two campaign underway as they welcome Tailteann Cup champions Down to Dr Hyde Park for a 2pm kick-off.
At the same time, Cusack Park is the venue for Westmeath v Louth.
It is a big day in the Hurling League as All-Ireland champions Clare get their Division 1A title defense underway with a repeat of last years All-Ireland semi-final when they welcome Kilkenny to Cusack Park at 2pm.
Former Kerry hurler Fionan Mackessy will make his debut for the Cats at left-wing back.
Salthill is the venue for Galway and Tipperary where throw-in is scheduled for 3:45pm.
Division One newcomers Tyrone get their Ladies National Football League campaign underway at 2pm against 2022 Division One champions Meath at Newtownstewart.
At the same time, the Hawkfield Centre of Excellence is the venue as Waterford face off against Kildare.
Two games kick off the Premier League action today. Crystal Palace could jump above their opposition Brentford in the table if their victorious at Selhurst Park. That game kicks off at 2pm.
At the same time a struggling Tottenham side host second-from-the-bottom Leicester City. A win for Leicester would see them climb out of the relegation zone.
At half-four West Ham make the trip to Birmingham to take on Unai Emery's [pr. Un-eye Em-er-e] Aston Villa.
