Stuttgart Open: Date, draw, will Emma Raducanu play, how to watch and everything to know

The Stuttgart Open, also known by its sponsored name Porsche Tennis Grand Prix, is the next major event on the WTA Tour.

Held since 1978, the Stuttgart Open is the oldest women’s indoor tournament in Europe.

A WTA 500 event, it offers 470 ranking points to the winner and a total prize pot of $703,580 (£540,455).

GiveMeSport Women runs through everything you need to know about the Stuttgart Open, including the schedule, the draw and how to watch.

The Stuttgart Open is scheduled to start with qualifying on Saturday, April 16th. The tournament will run until Sunday, April 24th.

It is often viewed as one of the warm-up events for Roland-Garros, which is set for May 22nd to June 5th.

The Stuttgart Open will take place at the Porsche Arena in the German city.

Nine of the world’s top 10, including six Grand Slam winners, are on the entry list for this year’s Stuttgart Open.

World number one Iga Świątek is set to play, alongside Maria Sakkari, reigning French Open champion Barbora Krejčíková and last year’s runner-up Aryna Sabalenka.

Spain’s Paula Badosa, Anett Kontaveit, Karolína Plíšková, Danielle Collins and Ons Jabeur round out the top 10 entries.

Defending champion Ashleigh Barty will not be playing after announcing her shock retirement last month.

“We’ve got a sensational field and spectators back in the indoor arena, one couldn’t wish for more,” said tournament director Markus Günthardt. ‟The fact that virtually all the top 20 will be contesting our tournament is amazing.

“The players love coming to us because they feel at home here. We offer them conditions in which they can perform at their best and our
