Stuart Kettlewell insists his spying mission to watch Kilmarnock crack Celtic’s code can become his own blueprint for success on Saturday.

The Fir Park boss had detailed the Rugby Park side’s double triumphs over both of the Old Firm this season as reasons to believe his side can achieve a similar feat when they go in against a Brendan Rodgers side which he’s convinced has chinks in its armoury. It’s all about attention to detail, fine planning and being prepared for whatever the Hoops are about to throw the Lanarkshire side’s way which is part of the Kettlewell dossier.

He said: “I saw Kilmarnock beat Celtic live and I thought they deserved it and executed their game plan to a tee. It wasn’t a fluke. They were structured, organised and carried a threat. You need to be all those things to get a result against Rangers or Celtic.

“Towards the end of the week we’ll start to put together roughly what we think their team will be but it’s hard when they have so many options. We just try to look at their traits and principles of play to see how we can counteract those and how we can impose ourselves and create chances of our own.

“We don’t put any more emphasis on this game than we did against St Mirren a fortnight ago but from my side it’s about trying to get it right to give the players a chance and their end of the bargain is to continue performing like they have been.”
