Struggling' Everton star has 'fallen down pecking order', Rafa was a big fan

Andros Townsend has fallen down the pecking order at Everton under Frank Lampard, says journalist Paul Brown.

The 30-year-old was a regular when Rafael Benitez was in charge but has seen his game time diminish following the arrival of the Spaniard’s successor.

Since Lampard’s arrival, however, the English winger has made just one start, failing to pick up a single minute in either of Everton’s last two Premier League outings.

In the English top flight, Townsend has amassed 262 appearances so has loads of experience, something Lampard could probably do with right now.

The Toffees are in a real fight for survival and were absolutely dreadful last time out, losing 5-0 to Antonio Conte’s Tottenham.
